Michigan Offers Running Back the Day After Decommitting from MSU

It’s no secret that Mark Dantonio and Michigan State have done a wonderful job at taking underrated recruits and turning them into legit college football players, and sometimes even pros. Especially at the running back position. So, when Hillside (NC) RB Abdul Adams decommitted from the Spartans on Wednesday, it makes sense that Michigan extended an offer on Thursday.

Adams has that size, power, speed combination that every coach is looking for out of a running back. He has quick feet and vision to help him hit the hole or bounce it outside, as well as the breakaway speed to take it the distance.

As for Michigan’s chances, those are unknown right away though the staff likely wouldn’t have offered this late in the process unless they felt like they stood a chance. Add in them wanting to bring in multiple backs in 2016 and questions surrounding current commit RB Kingston Davis and the top running back in the class, RB Kareem Walker, not yet on board, continuing to cast a net makes sense.
