Michigan Offers 2017 DE/LB Corey Malone-Hatcher

Michigan has offered one of the biggest and best recruits in the 2017 class in Saint Joseph (MI) DE/LB Corey Malone-Hatcher.

As one of the best recruits in the class and state, CMH is a big time prospect that will be wanted by just about every program in the country. With his early offers from OSU and PSU, and big time interest from Alabama, Malone-Hatcher is someone to keep an eye one.

His versatility and athleticism allows the 6\’3\’\’ 235lbs prospect to rush the passer as an outside linebacker or his hand in the dirt. Add in his high interest in the Wolverines and it makes sense why he is a top prospect for the Michigan staff moving forward.

With Michigan\’s latest troubles, some may think top prospects would shy away from the program. However, Malone-Hatcher had this to say about his Wolverine offer to 247Sports\’ Steve Lorenz ($):

“It’s amazing,” he said. “It’s still a national program and first in-state offer, and probably the biggest in-state offer I could get. It’s an honor.

“All the visits I’ve been on this year, and even in the past last year, they haven’t been winning a ton of games or blowing teams out, but every time we go they seem focused and still hold pride in their education and their tradition. I’ve never once gone and seen a lack of effort. When the chips fell it wasn’t in their favor, but I like the perseverance and attitude they have for work, and the attitude they have towards the game.”

It is still very early in the process for CMH, but expect Michigan to be very high on his list until the 2017 National Signing Day.
