Five More 2017 Recruits Receive Offers from Michigan

Even though Jim Harbaugh and some the Michigan coaching staff is spending their time packing their bags for Bradenton and enjoying some Monday Night Raw, the recruiting staff was busy sending out several offers to 2017 targets, including:

LB Kenney Britt

Britt is one of the hardest hitting linebackers in the class and, thanks to the early offer, Michigan should have an opportunity to pull him out of Alabama. Though, it’ll be tough if his in-state schools make him a priority.

OL Billy Ross

Ross fits the mold of what Harbaugh and Drevno have been looking for out of their offensive tackles: Big, physical and nasty. Though he may be another tough pull out of his home state (West Virginia), this early offer helps UM’s chances.

OG Kevin Jarvis

Out of all of the recruits offered on Monday, Jarvis looks to be by far the most likely to end up donning the winged helmet. Being a great fit in terms of playing style (big, nasty lineman) and being from the Midwest (Illinois) helps Michigan a ton. Add in him singing UM’s praises after receiving his offer and things look good early here.

DE Zachary Carter

Carter is the highest ranked player that received an offer on Monday and probably the toughest pull for UM. He’s a top 100 player in the heart of Florida and is expected to stay in state. But, we’ve seen Michigan pull off big time Sunshine State recruiting wins in the past.

LB Willie Gay

Gay is another offer out of SEC country (boy, those coaches have to be loving Harbaugh) and a player Michigan will have to pry out of Mississippi. He holds offers from most of the big hitters in the Southeast but, while it’s a slim shot, never say never in the world of recruiting.
