Michigan Offers 2016 Tight End Chase Allen

Though Michigan is the top tight end offensive system in the country, the staff is struggling to secure commitments from their top targets early on including the nation’s top tight end Isaac Nauta. With questions surrounding that 2nd spot in 2016, the staff has extended an offer to Nixa (MO) TE Chase Allen.

Allen is a 6’7”, rangy, pass catching tight end that (obviously) is a jump ball nightmare for defenders. His game reminds me a bit of former Detroit Lions and UCLA tight end Joseph Fauria. He’s slender in the frame but has great hands and can spot the ball at it’s highest point to go up and make the catch over just about any defensive back. With some time in the weight room, he could be a really nice player at the collegiate level.

With Minnesota looking like the biggest competitor for his services, things look good here for Michigan.
