Michigan Offers 2016 QB Shea Patterson

After landing Alex Malzone for the 2015 class, OC Doug Nussmeier has been on an offering tear in the 2016 class. He has gone out and offered four of the top quarterbacks in the class, including both pro-style and duel threat signal callers. Today, another name was added to the list as Nuss offered Shea Patterson (Shreveport, LA/Calvary Bapstist Academy) after Coach Funk saw him throw live this spring.

Patterson is a strong armed, athletic quarterback originally from Ohio and now committed to Rich Rod and Arizona. He is definitely one of the top 5 QBs in the class and has opened up his recruitment to make sure he is not missing out on anything.

From early on, Michigan had been rumored to being in this one thanks to Patterson having family in the Ann Arbor area. With Nussmeier looking for a pro or duel threat guy, Patterson is the perfect mix. When he visits this summer, the staff has the chance to blow him away and possibly jump to the top of the list with Arizona.

As far as his game, he is right there on the same tier as Jacob Eason, KJ Costello, and Malik Henry. Landing any of those guys would be fantastic for the class.
