Look Who’s Visiting Now: May 20th & 21st

After a bit of a break from hosting groups of recruits, the Michigan football staff will be all hands on deck this weekend as they’re expecting a very nice group of targets from all around North America. Yeah, Michigan is going International once again.

Check out the list of weekend visitors the staff is expecting in Ann Arbor:

2017 DE Luiji Vilain

The name that everyone is watching this weekend. According to multiple reports (first seen here by The Wolverine’s Brandon Brown), Vilain will make his way to Ann Arbor with his high school coach for the first time since receiving his offer from the staff ($). This is obviously a big visit as the Canadian pass rusher has been high on Michigan for a long time. I’ve also put in my Crystal Ball prediction to UM already to go along with plenty of other recruiting analysts.

2017 DE James Hudson

Just days before he makes his way up I-75, Hudson decided to decommit from Kentucky, who he had been committed to for nearly a year. It’s not 100% known if the visit to Ann Arbor was a main reason but it definitely helps Michigan out, if the staff indeed decides to offer like I expect. If an offer comes and the visit goes as well as expected, things could heat up quickly between the Toledoan and the Wolverines.

2018 DE Dorian Hardy

According to multiple reports, Michigan will host their third top defensive end this weekend in fast rising Hardy. The New Jersey athlete landed his first offer from UM and it may help them sway another defensive lineman out of the Garden State. Alabama looks to be the early favorites here but this visit could change things quickly.

2018 QB Shelton Applewhite

Making the trip with Hardy will be his cousin, Applewhite, according to Brown ($). This is another visitor to watch as the DePaul Catholic up and comer that is out of the same school as 2016 signees RB Kareem Walker and DT Michael Dwumfour. While an offer may not come this weekend, it looks very possible down the line even if the 2018 QB vacancy is taken as Applewhite is more of a duel threat than any other quarterback on the roster.

2017 ATH Dorian Green

Green let me know awhile back that he planned to visit Michigan this weekend but with all of the confusion over his offer situation, it’s unknown if he will indeed make the trip. I’ll update this list as soon as I get confirmation.
