Faison-Walden was All Smiles After Landing Michigan Offer

Michigan has offered 245 players in the 2017 class and their latest is out to a player that reminds me a ton of an early candidate for fan favorite in the 2016 class, Khaleke Hudson. That offered recruit is Grimsley (NC) S Brelin Faison-Walden and I caught up with him to talk about his latest scholarship offer.

“Very big. Just from the school alone and the achievements of getting it”, Faison-Walden said of how big this offer is for his recruitment. “I had to pinch myself to see if this was a dream yanno lol. It’s just a big achievement for myself and my football family. I was all smiles the rest of that day lol. It’s just great to know that, that type of program is interested in you as a player and person.”

The offer came from LB Coach Chris Partridge but the staff views Faison-Walden as a strong safety for their defense and though he admitted that he doesn’t know too much about the program or university, he said that he will definitely do his research.

Holding several big time offers, including Alabama, Florida State and Georgia, Faison-Walden is a wanted prospect in this class. But this offer from Michigan looks to have really moved the needle for him. If the staff pushes for him and gets him on campus, like he said he plans on doing, they could become a legit option to land the physical safety out of North Carolina.
